Previously on Charmed: The Book of Shadows was taken by a powerful girl from Avalon. The sisters followed her to her homeland to find out that the world was infected with a great evil. After trying to figure out how to restore the world to its natural beauty the girls were suddenly caged by a familiar demon; Nomed. He killed the Keeper, took the Book of Shadows and then presented Leo as a human sacrifice.
Int. Manor
Billie is coming around in the living room. She looks wearily up to see Wyatt on the sofa comforting his little brother.
Billie: Wyatt.
Wyatt puts his shield up.
Billie: No it’s okay, I don’t wanna hurt you or anything I just want you to tell me where Leo went.
Wyatt: Daddy left.
Billie: Okay did he leave with someone? Did someone take him? (Wyatt nods his head) Okay, that’s good Wyatt, who took him?
Wyatt: Bad men.
Billie looks confused and then goes over to the phone book and begins to flick through.
Ext. Avalon
Piper, Phoebe and Paige are still in a cave, trapped in a magic proof cage. Piper is still trying to blast their way out as two demons guard them.
Phoebe: How did Nomed get so powerful?
Paige: Keep it down they can hear us.
Phoebe: Not over Piper’s blasting attempts they can’t.
Piper: Well what else am I supposed to do?
Phoebe: Think of another way, you’ve been trying that for twenty minutes now and it’s making me crazy!
Piper puts her hands down and looks annoyed.
Piper: I feel powerless. They have my husband and there’s nothing we can do.
Paige: Don’t talk like that there has to be something.
Phoebe: But the question still remains, how did Nomed get so powerful. He told us that he didn’t have enough power to kill us and now all of a sudden he’s got the confidence to cage us?
Paige: Well I dunno, try and get a vision.
Phoebe: By touching what?
Piper: Touch anything, touch the walls, touch the ground, touch the cage! Touch something.
Phoebe: You think I could get a premonition off the ground?
Paige: Well he’s walked on it so if you use your hands.
Piper: Yeah Pheebs, get down on your knees and do what you do best.
Phoebe: Oh, God-
Piper: What?
Phoebe: What you just said gave me a major high school flashback.
Paige smirks and Piper rolls her eyes as Phoebe gets down and starts touching the ground.
Piper: Anything?
Phoebe: No nothing, wait-
Phoebe suddenly gets sucked into a premonition.
Premonition: Nomed is in the underworld killing a few demons and taking their powers. He then gathers followers and then him and his followers arrive in Avalon.
Phoebe comes out of it and looks at her sisters. She gets up off the ground and rubs her hands against her jeans.
Phoebe: I think he rose to power by getting followers and many powers under his belt.
Paige: Oh right, how many powers?
Phoebe: A lot.
Piper: Which means he’s very powerful already and if he gets the powers of Avalon he’ll be-
Phoebe: Unstoppable.
Opening Credits…
Ext. Avalon
Piper, Phoebe and Paige are now sitting down in the cage.
Phoebe: So he must be pretty damn powerful to trap us.
Paige: Maybe I could call for Billie.
Piper: What?
Paige: Well you know, she could use her projection to get us out of here.
Phoebe: That’s true.
Piper: No, no, no, no! We’re getting out of here without her help. God I hope the boys are okay. Wyatt probably orbed himself and Chris to dad’s.
Paige: You think so?
Piper: Not really… But we better get outta here soon otherwise my husband is dead and my kids will be taken by social services.
Phoebe: I vote we call for Billie.
Piper: Didn’t you hear me say no the first time?
Phoebe: Piper! Leo’s life is in danger.
Piper looks annoyed and puts her head down in thought.
Piper: Okay, weren’t we trapped in a cage before at some point? Paige, do you remember?
Paige: Um…
Phoebe: You’re asking her? You’re asking the girl who couldn’t remember how we vanquished the source when he was resurrected last year?
Paige: Better than asking the girl who up until today had forgotten how to use her powers!
Piper: Okay guys let’s not fall out. We need to think. This whole situation is familiar… Being in a cage and all.
Phoebe: Yeah, because the Seer trapped us in one like four years ago.
Piper: How did we get out though?
Paige: With the power of three spell! It was the first time I said it.
Phoebe: Oh right. Well then let’s do it.
Piper: Not so fast. We need to figure out what our plan is going to be once we get out of here. Because there are a lot of demons and Nomed seems to be pretty powerful now so we can’t run in unprepared.
Paige: You’re right. Remember when we met Nomed though. And he wanted to help us kill the Triad and all that time he had an ulterior motive!
Phoebe: Of course he did, all demons do. I just didn’t think he was going to attack us so quickly. Telling us how he might be ready for our next generation. He probably had this plan all along! Ugh! I hate liars!
1920
Int. Manor
Past Phoebe and her friend Esmerelda are in the attic and sitting at a table. Past Phoebe is writing in the Book of Shadows.
Past Phoebe: I hate liars! The amount of men who have told me they are working in show business to get me into bed this year is unbelievable. So that’s why I’m writing this spell!
Esmerelda: The truth spell? Why, what does it do?
Past Phoebe: Well Esmerelda, it acts as a way to get the truth out of someone when you ask them a question. So say one of those big shots comes up to me again at one of my cousin’s parties and tells me I could be a singer as he knows all the right people. I simply ask him if he’s lying and he tells me.
Esmerelda giggles.
Esmerelda: My, my you are a very clever witch!
Past Phoebe (smiling): I know!
Esmerelda: Can we try it out?
Past Phoebe: Not now as there is nothing to try it out on… If we did it on each other it would only ruin our friendship.
Esmerelda nods her head and they both suddenly hear a car outside. They run to the attic window and look out. They see Past Leo getting out of the car and walking up the steps to the Manor. Past Phoebe gives Esmerelda a devilish grin.
Past Phoebe: That’s my cousin’s ex boyfriend and her husband is downstairs with her. He comes around here a lot you know, to do small jobs around the house. I wonder…
Esmerelda: You wonder?
Past Phoebe: If he’s still in love with her? Well, only one way to find out?
Esmerelda: You wouldn’t! Are you telling me that you’ll ask him that in front of them?
Past Phoebe: Hopefully I won’t have to. As my cousin will probably get it out of him without expecting to.
Past Phoebe stands in front of the book and looks at the spell she has just written.
Past Phoebe: For those who want the truth revealed,
Open hearts and secrets unsealed,
From now until it’s now again,
After which the memory ends.
Those who now are in this house,
Will hear the truth from other mouths.
The girls look around.
Esmerelda: Did it work?
Past Phoebe: I don’t know. Try to lie when I ask you this. What is your name?
Esmerelda: Um… Uh… Esmerelda Smith. Sorry I really tried.
Past Phoebe: That’s fine. It means it worked. I worded the spell so that it works on everyone in this house and-
Past Phoebe is cut off by the noise of something crashing downstairs.
Past Phoebe: Looks like it work.
The pair grin and then run off downstairs. In the foyer Past Dan has just punched Past Leo much to the dismay of Past Piper.
Past Piper: Honestly, there was no need for that. He can’t help the way he feels!
Past Dan: You don’t tell me you’re still in love with my wife in my house and expect to get away with it!
Past Phoebe and Esmerelda make their way downstairs giggling.
Past Leo: I’m sorry, I’m not sure what came over me.
Past Dan: So you were lying?
Past Leo: No I was not. I’m still very much in love with your wife and nothing would make me happier than to see you die a slow and painful death.
Past Piper gasps as Past Dan punches Past Leo in the face again. By the staircase Past Phoebe and Esmerelda are laughing so much they’re keeling over.
Past Piper: You two must stop this immediately. We have guests coming around tonight. My God! Think of the scandal!
Past Leo gets up and grabs Past Dan pushing him to the floor. He then starts punching him in the face. Past Piper gasps and then freezes the pair of them. She turns to see Past Phoebe by the stairs.
Past Piper: Cousin!
Past Phoebe: Esmerelda and I were merely coming downstairs for a glass of water each and we saw your husband acting violently towards your ex lover. What happened?
Past Piper: Well I went to the kitchen and let my husband answer the door. I came back to find my ex boyfriend and I asked him how he was and he told me he was in a bad way and that he still loved me. Which was when he got a punch in the face and that broke the table. All of this on cards night! Honestly!
Past Phoebe: The inconsideration! Well you’d better unfreeze it as the guests may turn up soon.
Past Piper looks at the grand father clock and then with wide eyes turns back to Past Phoebe.
Past Piper: You’re right!
Past Piper unfreezes the whole scene and the two men are fighting like animals. She runs over and tries to pry them apart. Esmerelda starts laughing again as Past Phoebe smiles to herself.
Past Phoebe: I love the Book of Shadows!
2006
Ext. Avalon
Int. Cave
The demons are standing on guard as Piper, Paige and Phoebe quietly discuss their plan.
Piper: Right. So now we know what we’ve gotta do are you two ready?
Paige: I’m ready but tapping into as much power as we have is going to be hard.
Piper: Paige it’s the only way we can be sure that we’ll have enough to match Nomed.
Phoebe: Yeah and we’re gonna need as much offensive power as we can get so hopefully you’ll be able to use telekinesis the way Prue and Grams can.
Paige: Well our powers are expanded out here so I may as well try.
Piper: Look, we know what we have to do now and Leo’s in trouble so we need to work fast. You two are gonna take care of these demons right?
Paige: Yeah, while you contact Leo.
Piper: Right, let’s get out of here.
The girls stand up and get into a line holding hands.
Piper/Phoebe/Paige: The power of three will set us free,
The power of three will set us free.
The demons turn to them not knowing what to do.
Piper/Phoebe/Paige: The power of three will set us free!
Suddenly the cage wall blows up causing a great amount of smoke and dust. The demons are blinded and they don’t notice Piper run out of the cave. One of the demons looks up and sees a foot fly at his face knocking him over. Phoebe runs at him and pulls an athemae from his belt stabbing him in the gut. He goes up in flames. Paige is handling the other demon and he chucks a fireball at her but she orbs it back at him and he spontaneously combusts. Piper is around the corner of the cave by now and lying back against the wall. She has her eyes closed and is focussing on Leo.
Piper: Leo, Leo…
Suddenly she gasps and her head falls forward. Leo is in a different cave far away from the ones the girls were in. He is up against a wall in hand cuffs that are tied to the wall. Demons are guarding him but they are turned away, talking about trivial things. Piper appears beside Leo in a reddish light. Leo looks at her but keeps his voice down when he begins to talk.
Leo: Piper… How-?
Piper: Astral projection. Remember you taught me. Anyway, we don’t have much time, how many demons did you see when they brought you here.
Leo: I’d say around fifty.
Piper closes her eyes in fear.
Piper: Okay, we can handle them. When are they planning to sacrifice you?
Leo: As soon as possible I heard the guards say it was going to be in about twenty minutes.
Piper: Well, it’s time to throw a spanner into the works.
Piper turns to the demons.
Piper (Shouting): Hey demons!
They turn around.
Piper: Tell your leader that my sisters and I are out.
The demons run at her but she quickly astrals out. She astrals back into her body to see Phoebe and Paige looking at her.
Phoebe: Did you find out how many demons there are?
Piper: Yeah… Around fifty.
Paige and Phoebe’s eyes widen.
Paige: Did you send the message?
Piper: Yes, which means we need to get out of here! Now.
Phoebe and Paige help Piper to her feet and then they begin to run off.
Int. Manor
The doorbell goes. Billie walks to the door and opens it to see a panicked Victor on the other side.
Victor: I got here as soon as I could. Where are the boys?
Billie: They’re in the living room.
Victor: And where are the girls?
Billie: Honestly, I don’t know.
Victor comes in and pushes past Billie, walking into the living room. He picks up Chris and then sits next to Wyatt. He then turns back to Billie.
Victor: And you’re telling me you have nothing to do with their disappearance.
Billie: No, I came round to bring Piper some chocolates –
Victor: And suddenly the girls go missing.
Billie: They were already missing. I got hit by an energy ball and when I came around Leo was gone.
Victor: And this had nothing to do with you whatsoever?
Billie: It doesn’t I swear!
Victor: Yeah, right.
Billie looks upset as Victor comforts the boys.
Billie: Would I have really called you if I had something to do with it?
Victor: I don’t know what your plan is and to be honest, I don’t wanna know. You had a lot of nerve coming here!
Billie: I just wanted to apologise.
Victor: Well seeing as you were responsible for the death of my daughter and her sister a few months back, there’s nothing you can do that will let me forgive you. Your apologies don’t wash with me or the girls so the best thing you can do is leave… Now.
Billie looks defeated and goes to the door and leaves. Victor looks at the boys.
Victor: It’s okay, grandpa’s here now.
Ext. Avalon
The girls are nearing the grounds of Nomed’s lair. The demons are about talking about what’s happening. The girls hide behind a corner.
Piper: Okay, so I assume Nomed will have sent a few demons to go find us.
Phoebe: Yeah, but not enough. There’s still a big concentration of evil in there I can feel it.
Piper: We need to find out what we’re up against so Paige, I think it’s time to go undercover.
Paige: By doing what?
Piper: Glamouring.
Paige: You two can glamour too!
Phoebe: Oh please Paige we broke that spell already. Come on, pose as one of the demons that was guarding us. Then divert their attention to Leo so they leave and then we can stop Nomed from sacrificing him.
Paige: Fine.
Paige glamours into one of the demons they killed.
Paige: But you guys owe me. You owe me big!
Paige walks around the corner to the entrance to Nomed’s lair. She walks up to the two guards who are on duty.
Paige: Those stupid witches got away! I have to talk to Nomed now.
The guards let her through and she walks past a variety of different demons. Over the other side of the wall Phoebe and Piper are standing and waiting and they hear someone walking up behind them. They turn to see Misty standing there looking upset.
Phoebe: Misty, what’s wrong?
Misty: It’s the Keeper! They killed the Keeper!
Piper: Misty I know, we saw it I’m so sorry.
Phoebe takes Misty into her arms.
Phoebe: We’re going to restore this world if it’s the last thing we do.
Piper: It may well be…
Phoebe: Try and stay positive.
Misty: How are you going to do that? Even if you get past all the demons you alone might not be enough to challenge him especially in this world where power is heightened.
Piper: I know we’ve thought of that so Misty, I’m gonna need your help later on, can you go and wait for me in the cave where the Keeper is?
Phoebe: But check if there are demons there first and then wait for them to leave before you enter.
Misty: Why? What do you want me to do?
On the other side of the wall Paige is still in her glamoured self and looking around to see plenty of demons all huddled in separate groups, talking amongst themselves. One demon walks up to her.
Demon: Critzon! We didn’t think you made it.
Paige: Critzon, yep that’s me. I am Critzon no doubt about it.
The demon eyes her up wearily.
Paige: I mean, who else would I be?
Demon: Right, well anyway how did you fend off the witches?
Paige: They were powerful but I managed to get away.
Demon: Wow, (he turns to the rest) hey guys Critzon managed to get away from the witches!
A load of demons come up to Paige and start patting her on the back. She smiles.
Paige: Really it was nothing.
Demon: Nothing? Ah come on you went up against the charmed ones and lived to tell the tale.
Paige: Yeah, I spose… I am kind of a hero.
Demon: Yeah you are!
All the demons pat her on the back some more and Paige finds herself enjoying it. She then remembers why she came and gets back to her frame of mind.
Paige: Basically I’ve come to warn you all that the witches are going to try and get their man back so you guys should go over to his cave and make sure he doesn’t get away.
Demon: What about Nomed?
Paige: These are Nomed’s orders.
Demon: Well I think a lot of us should go but a lot of us need to stay here to protect Nomed and the book.
All the demons nod in agreement.
Paige: Right well you better get over there fast otherwise the witches will get him.
A lot of the demons assemble themselves and then flame out. Paige turns to the ones left behind.
Paige: Nomed assigned me to go back to the cave where the witches were in case they come back.
The demons all nod and Paige leaves. Around the side of Nomed’s Lair Phoebe and Piper are waiting as Paige comes back. She glamours back into herself and then looks at the sisters.
Phoebe: So was it hard?
Paige: No, not at all… They’re all really nice.
Phoebe and Piper look at her weirdly.
Piper: Nice? The demons are nice?
Paige: Well… Not “nice” nice, but yeah they were okay. Anyway I sent a lot of them over to guard Leo so we can get to Nomed.
Phoebe: Good… I still can’t believe you thought they were nice.
Paige: Hello, you’re first husband, Cole Turner, ring any bells?
Phoebe rolls her eyes.
Piper: Right time to go in there then.
Phoebe: I just wish I wasn’t so worried. I wish we could cast the confidence spell.
Paige: The what?
Piper: The confidence spell it’s in the Book of Shadows. But come on we don’t need it.
Phoebe: Yeah, but it makes you mentally stronger in these kind of situations!
Paige: Wow… That spell must’ve been used a lot over the years.
3rd August 1977
Int. Manor
Patty Halliwell is sitting on her bed cradling a newborn baby. She has tears in her eyes and rocks back and forth.
Patty (whispering): I’m so sorry, you know I love you right? I do love you, so much. But some times… We have to do things we don’t want to do.
Penny walks to the bedroom doorway holding the Book of Shadows. She sees her daughter is upset and goes and sits beside her.
Penny: Patty dear, I know this is hard for you.
Patty begins to cry harder and Penny puts her arm around her. The baby looks up at the two women and smiles. Penny tries to ignore the baby girl.
Patty: Why mom? Why does this have to happen?
Penny: Because you know if you don’t give her up, the girls won’t receive their birth right. They won’t full fill their destiny. What they were born to do.
Patty: Who cares? Why should I have to give up my daughter for the stupid greater good?
Penny: Patty, I know this is difficult-
Patty: No, you don’t know! You have no idea what I’m going through right now.
Penny nods her head in agreement not knowing what to say next.
Penny: … Patty, witches and whitelighters aren’t supposed to be together. It’s unheard of. And if you keep this child the girls won’t just be stripped of the power of three, they’ll be stripped of all their powers. We’ll be stripped of our powers and Sam’s wings will be clipped.
Patty: I get that.
Penny: Well you must understand how important it is that you give her up darling.
Patty is silent for a while as Penny holds her.
Patty: Are you going to collect the girls from their Aunt Gail’s when I go?
Penny: They’ll be waiting for you when you get back.
Patty: Good, because I really feel like I need one of Piper’s smiles to cheer me up right now.
Penny smiles.
Penny: That little girl really is the heart of this family. It’s a good thing we sent them away though, because Prue wasn’t having any of your “I’m just putting on weight, sweetie”.
Patty laughs through her tears.
Patty: God, yeah, Prue’s definitely the smart one. Oh and little Phoebe’s so feisty! I can’t wait to see them they’ve been there for two weeks.
Penny: Prue’s probably been bossing Gail around.
Patty: She gets that from you, you know.
Penny pinches Patty’s arm.
Patty: Hey! (She laughs) stop it.
Patty breaks away from Penny smiling and looks at the baby girl.
Penny: Have you thought of a name for her yet?
Patty: No, and I’m not going to. I’m going to give her to just ask that her name begins with a P. Besides I’m running out of coming up with names that start with P, time for someone else to give it a try.
Patty looks at her mother.
Patty: You know, you haven’t held her once… Do you want to-
Penny gets off the bed.
Penny: Best that I don’t. If I pick her up I might not be able to put her down and then we’ll both be useless.
Patty nods her head, tears still streaming, and smiles half heartedly. Penny sits back besides her and puts the book back on her lap. She then begins to flick through in her usual telekinetic style.
Patty: What are you looking for?
Penny: Something that will make this whole process much easier for you.
The page lands on “The Confidence Spell”. Patty looks at it and nods. She then looks at Penny.
Patty: We’ll be all right afterwards won’t we?
Penny: It won’t be easy but we’ll be okay.
Patty then turns to her baby and kisses her forehead. Penny watches her nervously and then takes her hand and they look at the spell.
Patty: Well, here it goes.
2006
Ext. Avalon
Paige, Piper and Phoebe make their way to the entrance of the cave.
Paige: Well, here it goes.
They walk in front of the demons who jump into fighting stance.
Piper: Hi.
Piper blasts them both and they fly backwards into Nomed’s Lair. The girls walk in and divide. Piper blasts the two she just did again and they blow up. Phoebe runs over to a crowd of demons, who are ready for her, and starts to fight them. Paige orbs an athemae away from one of the demons and begins to stab as many as she can.
Phoebe: Piper a little help.
Piper turns and starts to blast some of the demons who are fighting Phoebe. Some of them fly back and a few blow up. A demon from across the way turns and hurls a fireball at Piper, but Phoebe channels it and sends it right back at him. He blows up before one of the demons telekinetically chucks her to the other side of the lair and she hits the wall landing on the ground.
Piper (shouting): Paige remember what we discussed?
Paige (shouting): I’ll get to it.
A demon runs up behind Piper and grabs her holding her up while another runs over and punches her. Phoebe gets off the floor as a demon appears in front of her. She levitates and kicks him in the face and he falls down. As the demons punch Piper her head falls forward again and she appears behind the demon that’s holding her. She kicks him in the crutch and he drops her immediately. She astrals back into her body and blows up the two demons that had been fighting her. Meanwhile a demon runs at Paige but she holds out her two hands and he flies back.
Paige: All right cool! Telekinesis the old fashioned way.
She runs over to Piper and Phoebe joins them also.
Paige: Okay, got my offensive power in check.
Phoebe: Mine too.
Piper: Then what are we waiting for? Less yappin’ more zappin’.
As more demons begin to run at them Piper blasts various ones while Phoebe channels more demonic powers and starts chucking fireballs and energy balls and Paige telekinetically throws them aside. Many of the demons wail and blow up as the girls continue to fend them off.
Phoebe: KEEP GOING!
A demon runs at Piper and she blows him up. The girls look around and see that there are no more demons.
Phoebe: Wow, we did it! I can’t believe we did it.
Piper: I know! Me neither.
Paige: I can.
Piper and Phoebe smile at her.
Piper: Where does this girl get her confidence from?
Paige smiles and shrugs.
Phoebe: Okay, so now our job is only half done.
Piper: Where did you say Nomed was Paige?
Paige: I didn’t find that out. But his lair is a big place.
Phoebe: Well you’re a whitelighter so you can sense people.
Paige: Yeah, normal red blooded people but not demons.
Phoebe: Ah come on, our powers are expanded here so try.
Paige closes her eyes and focuses on Nomed. After a few seconds she opens them again.
Paige: He’s here but he’s way down one of those tunnels (she points at a doorway) and in a cave at the end.
Piper: Good work. Okay so here’s the plan.
Int. Manor
Victor, Wyatt and Chris are in the kitchen.
Victor: Okay, Wyatt are you sure you can’t sense where mommy is?
Wyatt looks at him nods his head.
Victor: Okay, okay this is just great.
There is a knock on the back door. Victor gets up and answers it. Henry walks in.
Henry: Hi um… Victor is it?
Victor: Yes, and you’re Henry? Paige’s husband?
Henry: Yeah. Do you by any chance happen to know where she is?
Victor: No. I was about to ask you the same question.
Wyatt jumps off his seat when he sees Henry and runs over hugging his leg.
Wyatt: Henry!
Henry: Oh hi there Wyatt. How are you?
Wyatt: I’m good.
Victor: He’s really coming into his words now isn’t he?
Henry: Yeah. I’m still worried about Paige, I mean I know I’m new to this whole dating a witch thing and I thought I’d get it by now but really, I don’t.
Victor: You are in good company. Why don’t you stay for dinner and we can have a chat about what it’s like to date a witch.
Henry: Oh okay sure.
Wyatt: Yay, Henry’s staying.
Henry, Wyatt and Victor sit back at the table.
Ext. Avalon
Int. Nomed’s Lair
Nomed is sitting on a seat flicking through the Book of Shadows. He’s so engrossed in it that he doesn’t notice the demon at the entrance to the cave.
Demon: Sir.
Nomed looks up to be pleasantly surprised as this demon is holding an unconscious Piper by his side.
Nomed: Good work very good work!
Nomed gets up off of his seat setting the book down and walks over to the demon.
Demon: The witches attacked but two of them got away-
As the demon is talking Piper astrals to where the book is. She begins to quietly flick through.
Demon: We tried our hardest but the other girls got away.
Nomed: Don’t worry about it, they’ll come back for this one. Sisters always do.
Piper lands on the page she was looking for and reads it over a few times to remember. Nomed turns around and sees her there. He looks confused.
Nomed: What? But-
Piper astrals back into herself. Nomed turns back in time to see the demon and Piper orb out.
Nomed: Damn it.
Phoebe suddenly runs out of the shadows and fly kicks Nomed sending him to the floor.
Ext. Avalon
Piper and the demon orb outside the cave where they were held captive. The demon transforms back into Paige.
Piper: Okay, so I’m gonna go do this and you’re going to get Leo right?
Paige: Right, let’s split.
Piper walks into the cave to see Misty waiting for her.
Misty: Are you ready for me to show you?
Piper: Yes. Let’s go now!
Misty begins to walk in her usual formal manner.
Piper: Okay Misty faster!
Int. Nomed’s Lair
Nomed chucks a fireball at Phoebe but she levitates up and it misses her.
Phoebe: Nice power mind if I borrow it?
Phoebe conjures her own fireball and chucks it back at him but he ducks out of the way. Nomed looks at her in surprise and conjures three energy balls sending them flying at her, but she channels them and sends them right back. Two of them hit him and he falls down but quickly gets to his feet again.
Phoebe: Empathy’s a great power, I can feel all kinds of things. Like right now I can feel that you’re scared. Why don’t you leave?
Nomed: I’m not gonna let you get your witchy hands on that book.
Phoebe: Fine, then I guess I’ll have to take it.
Phoebe levitates towards him kicking him in the chest a few times and he falls over. She quickly gets down and grabs the book. Nomed chucks her to the other side of the room but she still holds onto it as she hits the wall.
Int. Leo’s Cave
All the demons Paige sent there are guarding Leo. Nomed quickly runs in distressed.
Nomed: The witch’s are in my lair and they have the book back. All of you go and attack them now! I’m going to sacrifice the human and get the powers of Avalon.
Leo looks scared as the demons all flame out or shimmer out. Paige glamours suddenly revealing she was posing as Nomed. Leo looks relieved.
Leo: Do not scare me like that again.
Paige runs over to him and telekinetically undoes his handcuffs. He falls to the ground as he legs feel numb.
Leo: Hey when did you learn telekinesis?
Paige: Our powers are expanded out here so don’t get used to it. Come on we’ve gotta get out of here.
Leo: I’m wounded. The demons stabbed me in the side.
Paige: I’ll heal you but the demons could come back any second let’s go.
Leo: Can you orb us my legs are killing me.
Paige rolls her eyes and grabs his shoulder and they orb out.
Int. Nomed’s Lair
Nomed chucks a fireball at Phoebe but she runs out of the way and it misses her. She then begins to run along the tunnel with the book in her hands. All the demons that Paige sent to Nomed shimmer or flame in. They look at Nomed confused.
Nomed: She has the book, follow her!
The demons begin to chase Phoebe.
Ext. Avalon
Piper and Misty arrive at a cliff. Piper looks below to see a sea of blue mist.
Misty: That’s the power of Avalon.
Piper: Right. Well hold my hand while I say this spell and the power should come to me.
Misty: Okay.
Misty holds her hand as Piper recites the spell.
Piper: Ancient mists of great, great power,
The kind to make all others cower,
I say this spell to save this land,
Please lend me a helping hand.
Suddenly the mists turn to blue wind, which becomes tornado-like and rushes up to Piper entering her body and knocking her back. Her eyes turn a cloudy blue and Misty looks at her smiling.
Misty: Can you feel the power?
Piper: Are ya kiddin?
Misty: Good, use it well.
Misty helps Piper to her feet.
Int. Nomed’s Lair
Phoebe has run out to where the girls fought all the demons before and is still running. The demons chasing her catch up and as she is running Nomed telekinetically chucks her into a wall. She falls down and looks up to see many demons gaining on her.
Nomed: Looks like you’re out numbered, witch!
Nomed is forms a fireball in his hand when suddenly a demon cries out.
Demon: What the hell?
The demons look above them to see Piper levitated high in the air.
Nomed: Levitation?
Phoebe: No, the powers of Avalon.
Nomed turns back in fear and looks at Piper who has a crooked smile on her face.
Piper: Looks like you’re out powered, demon!
Piper puts out her hands and suddenly misty blue wind pours out over the demons. They wail as they all blow into ashes.
Ext. Avalon
Paige is healing Leo’s wound and the two of them are sitting on the top of a huge rock. Suddenly the sky changes from red to bright blue. Paige finishes healing Leo and then looks up and smiles. She looks around and sees trees reforming, grass growing rapidly, waterfalls, flowers, bushes and rivers all appearing around her.
Paige: Looks like we did it.
Leo: It’s beautiful.
The two of them look around in amazement.
Int. Nomed’s Lair
The misty blue wind is sucked out of Piper and she falls to the ground as it goes back to it’s rightful place. Phoebe with the Book of Shadows in her hands walks over to her and helps her up.
Phoebe: Look at this place. Look at the sky. It’s wonderful.
Piper: That was some major power I just took in.
Phoebe: We just had such a hard time but it was so worth it. Look at this place, Piper. And it’s all because of us.
Piper smiles as they look around.
Piper: Come on you, let’s go catch up with Leo and Paige.
Ext. Avalon
Leo and Paige are sitting on the grass and looking up and around at the beauty of it all. Misty suddenly appears out of no where and runs up hugging Paige.
Misty: Thank you! Thank you so much!
Paige: Honey it was no problem.
Misty: I can’t thank you enough. Now you see why we wanted to restore the world to the way it was?
Leo: Yeah, little girl its really nice.
Misty: It’s Misty and you are?
Leo: Leo.
Misty: Whatever. I’m so happy!
Paige: Well I’m happy you’re happy!
Phoebe and Piper walk up to them. Piper runs and falls beside Leo.
Piper: Hey you!
Piper kisses him as Misty hugs Phoebe.
Misty: Thank you!
Phoebe: Oh honey it was nothing. We’d do it all again.
Piper: That’s actually a good point, Misty is it possible that demons can come back here and do it all again?
Misty: Well before we enchanted your book we used to be able to protect this place from evil. But the power we lost doing that was enough for them to break in. They only figured that they could do it recently so-
Piper: So they could do it again.
Misty: Yes, unless we stop protecting your book.
Phoebe: Well then stop.
Misty: No you guys have done so much for us-
Paige: Misty really you’ve protected it for so long now and some things are more important.
Misty: But how will you protect it.
Piper: We’ll think of something.
Misty looks at them in admiration.
Misty: You three are amazing. Thank you so much for everything.
Phoebe: Thank you for everything you’ve done for us.
Misty: I’m going to go and tell the others now. See you around.
Misty runs off and disappears from sight.
Phoebe: Well I feel good.
Piper: I do too.
Paige: I could sit here all day.
Leo: We better go and check on the boys girls!
Piper: Oh God I almost forgot! Paige!
Paige: I’m on it.
Paige orbs all four of them out.
Ext. San Francisco
Various shots of the city to show us we’re home and to also symbolise time passing.
Int. Manor
Paige and Phoebe are sitting at a table in the attic with the book in the middle of the table. Piper enters.
Piper: Well the boys are off to sleep and Dad’s on his way home.
Phoebe: It was good of Billie to call him right?
Piper: Yeah, yeah whatever.
Phoebe shakes her head smiling.
Phoebe: We’re gonna have to come up with a punishment for her soon or something because this hating is ridiculous.
Piper sighs.
Piper: That’s tomorrow’s problem.
Paige: And Henry has gone home to plan a surprise for me.
Piper: And all is right with the world.
Phoebe: Quite literally in Avalon’s case.
Piper: Yes. Anyway (she sits at the table) was it me or did saving that whole world feel good to you guys?
Phoebe: It felt fantastic.
Paige: I know I loved it.
Piper: It just made me think maybe we’ve been too hesitant about the craft over the past year or so.
Phoebe: I was thinking the same thing. I mean I got my powers back for a short amount of time and it made me realise how much I love being a witch. I want to get empathy and levitation back as soon as I can.
Paige: The power boost was cool and the saving of innocents and stuff. I really missed that.
Piper: So should we return to our old wiccan ways?
Paige: I think so.
Phoebe: I agree.
Piper puts her hand on the book. Phoebe and Paige put their hands on Piper’s.
Piper: Forever Charmed?
Phoebe and Paige nod and suddenly they notice the triquetra glow brightly.
Phoebe: What the hell?
Paige: What’s the book doing?
Piper: Maybe it’s protecting itself?
The triquetra stops glowing and the three of them take their hands off of it.
Piper: Maybe our bond is enough to protect it?
Paige: Maybe.
They are interrupted by Phoebe’s cell phone ringing. She picks it up.
Phoebe: Hello… Oh Elise I know I said I’d come in but I got held up I’m sorry… You want me in now?… But it’s ten o clock… Fine see you soon.
Phoebe hangs up.
Phoebe: Elise wants me in the office right now so I can add an extra letter before the edition goes in for printing! What is wrong with that woman?
Piper smirks.
Piper: I dunno honey.
Phoebe gets up.
Phoebe: See you gals later.
Paige: See you.
Piper: Bye.
Phoebe leaves.
Paige: I better get going too so I can enjoy Henry’s surprise.
Piper: Okay honey I’ll see you tomorrow.
Paige gets up and leaves. Piper opens the book and turns to the back page to see what she had written in it a few months ago.
Piper (reading): We’ve been truly Charmed…
She gets out a pen and writes “But we’re not done yet!” She looks at what she written and smiles, closing the book.
Int. Henry’s Apartment
Paige walks in and looks around. All the lights are off but she looks at the floor and sees rose petals leading to the bedroom. She follows them into the bedroom and sees that they lead to the bathroom. She walks into the bathroom to see they lead to the toilet. The toilet seat is down. Henry appears behind her and puts his arms around her.
Paige: What’s the big surprise?
Henry: The toilet seat is down.
Paige smirks and then turns around and kisses him.
Paige: That, is too cute!
She leads him into the bedroom and pulls him onto the bed.
Int. Bay Mirror
Phoebe is sitting at her desk typing while on the phone to Piper. They are chatting about everything that has happened. In an office near Phoebe’s, Elise is standing at her window watching her through the blinds. She is on the phone.
Elise: Look, she trusts me now, I’ve been watching her and her sisters for five years… I know this year is very important but it’s not like I’m doing absolutely nothing, I’m keeping my eye on her as much as I can… Yes… We’re getting closer.
Elise puts the phone down with a steely expression on her face and continues to watch Phoebe through the window.
