9.04 Two and a Half Paige

Previously on Charmed: The Charmed Ones decided that it’s time to go back to their old innocent saving wiccan ways while Paige and Henry try to overcome the growing space between each other as Coop starts to think that he might know everything about love, even though he has never had experience with a woman besides Phoebe.
Int. Henry's Apartment – Morning
Int. Kitchen
There is no other way to say it. It is a beautiful morning, as Henry sits on a chair with a cup of coffee in his right hand and the newspaper in the other. He’s enjoying the silence as he hears a familiar noise.
Int. Living room – Morning
Henry enters the living room and sees his wife sitting on the floor. She has her eyes closed and it looks like she is trying to concentrate.
Henry: Oh honey, you're back.
Paige: Psst … I’m trying to concentrate and meditate.
Henry: So, you saved this innocent from the Harashnahnu demon?
Paige: It’s called the Harashmaha demon and yes, we saved that innocent.
Henry: Looks like demon activity is back to normal.
Paige opens her eyes and turns to Henry with a surprised look on her face.
Paige: How do you know that?
Henry: Well I do see what you are doing most of the time, as I am your husband.
Paige (nods): I guess you’re right. I've had a lot to do lately. I’m a Charmed One, I have my charges, and of course, I’m your wife. It’s like... sometimes beneath all those identities the Paige who only I know, gets lost.
Henry walks in Paige's direction and then sinks into the sofa.
Henry: Sounds like a lot of responsibilities. Maybe you should take some time for yourself.
As Henry says this Paige looks up at the ceiling. Henry follows her look.
Henry: Something wrong?
Paige stands up.
Paige: You don’t have to worry. It’s not like Paige Matthews has the right to breathe, even if it’s for a minute or two.
She kisses her husband and orbs out. Henry looks a little bit confused and thinks to himself.
Henry: I thought it was Paige Mitchell now.
Ext. San Francisco
Ext. Street – Morning
Paige orbs into a street, as a fireball passes her and hits a garbage can right behind her. As fast as she can, Paige looks around to check out the situation and what is really going on. As she sees the two demons on the other end of the street, she sees a girl in front of her, hiding in a doorway. While the demons slowly come to them, Paige risks it and gets to the girl in the doorway.
Paige: It’s Nicki, isn’t it?
Nicki: Yes it is… and you are?
Paige: I’m Paige. It's nice to meet you... Sorry about the circumstances.
Nicki: What are these guys? Are they some kind of monsters or an experiment gone wrong?
Paige: They are demons Nicki and they are trying to kill you.
Nicki: What’s that supposed to mean?
Paige: I know this hard to believe, but you are a future whitelighter and those demons are trying to extinguish all the good you are destined to do.
Nicki: You're kidding, right?
Paige: Unfortunately no, but if you don’t believe me, look for yourself.
Paige runs into the street again and takes a sharp look at the demons. She motions to one of the demon's belts.
Paige (calling): Knife!
The knife in the belt of the right demons orbs away and then hits the other one. He hurls an energy ball at Paige as he explodes.
Paige (calling): Energy ball!
The energy ball turns around too and hits the remaining demon who explodes in a huge flame as well. Paige turns to Nicki.
Paige: See?
Nicki: Wow that was amazing. Can I do that myself if I become a whitelighter?
Paige (shakes her head): Probably not, because I’m a witch too... and a wife... and a sister.
Nicki: Looks like you are a lot of things.
Paige (smiles): Sometimes it’s a little bit hard and I wish there could be more than one Paige to do all the things people want me to do. But this isn’t really a possibility, so …
Paige grabs Nicki's hand and they both orb out. Only a few seconds later another demon, also in human form, appears out of nowhere. He lifts up his hand and looks at it as a supernatural hologram appears that shows him what has happened in the last few minutes. The demon starts to smile as he hears Paige's last comment.
Demon: That’s an idea.
He flames out.

Int. Manor
Int. Hall – Morning
Piper and Leo have just left the kitchen and are on their way to the living room. Leo is behind Piper who is angrily walking to the Living Room. It’s pretty clear that they are arguing about something and that Piper is winning.
Piper: Who are you, Leo? Harrison Ford?
Leo stops immediately and turns to Piper.
Leo: What?
Piper: Sorry, some network was showing The Fugitive yesterday. (Piper rolls her eyes). Let’s start over. Why do we have to discuss this again? P3 still makes enough money for this family. Our income is fine, surprisingly if you think of all the damage demons have done over the years.
Leo: I understood you the first time you told me this. But this isn’t about our family. This is about me, for a change.
Piper: So you're telling me you want to work, because you actually want to work?
Leo (nods): Of course I want to work. I want to go out, meet people, have a life. I can’t spend my entire time with you and the boys.
Piper: Oh honey, I’m sure every married woman wants to hear exactly what you just said from her husband.
Leo: You know exactly what I mean. Think about it Piper. Do you remember when I was born? It wasn’t just a different time; it was a different world. Have you ever thought of how hard it is for me to be only one who doesn't work? Especially since I’m human and feel a little bit useless around here?
Piper (smiles): Paige doesn't have a job either.
Leo: That's not the point. It’s hard being the only mortal in this family.
Piper is about to add something but Leo immediately interrupts her.
Leo: Don’t tell me that Henry's human too. I barely know him and I missed Paige's wedding as well.
Piper (starts to nod): Okay Leo, I see your point but can we please discuss this another time? I have a thousand things to do and this is a really hard day. A special day and you know exactly why.
Leo is about to say something but the door opens and Phoebe enters. Her outfit is slightly revealing and she has a bag in each hand.
Phoebe (to Piper): Hi honey. Good that you're still here, because this is not what I want to discuss with Leo.
Leo (nods): Phoebe, you really know how to make a man feel indispensable.
Phoebe gives Leo a look then puts her bags on the floor and pulls out a gorgeous dress from each one.
Phoebe (to Piper): Please be honest, which one should I wear on our first date?
Piper: Coop and you finally made it?
Phoebe (smirks): Yes, and I need to wear something breathtaking which shows off some of my best features.
Piper: When you hear the emperor's new clothes, does it ring any bells?
Phoebe: No. Why?
Piper: This guy just had excellent clothes. You should ask one of his designers. Where are you two going anyway?
Phoebe: To lunch.
Leo: Don’t you think you might look a little over the top in these?
Piper smiles and wants to add something as Paige orbs in. Immediately Piper rolls her eyes.
Piper (to Phoebe and Paige): Sometimes I get the impression that you two think you still live here.
Paige (to Piper): I love you too Piper. So, where is our innocent?
Piper (to Paige): Still in the kitchen I hope. I gave her some pencils and a piece of paper.
Phoebe (to Piper): Why?
Piper: So she can draw the demon that attacked her. Since Avalon girl visited us I won’t give anyone the chance to steal our book again.
Piper is about to make her way to the living room as the bell goes. Piper rolls her eyes again.
Piper: Anymore customers?
Piper opens the door and looks surprised immediately.
Piper: Darryl?
Darryl hugs Piper first, then Phoebe, and last but not least, Paige. Leo just gets a handshake as Piper's curiosity gets the best out of her.
Piper: To what do we owe this pleasure, Darryl?
Daryl: Isn’t it the special day? I just thought I might stop by. Besides, you are the only ones I haven't seen since I've been back.
Phoebe: How's Sheila?
Paige (gives Phoebe a light slap): Phoebe.
Darryl: Don’t worry Paige. I’m okay with it. I mean, there has to be a reason why I’m back right?
Int. Underworld
Int. Demons Lair – Eternal Night
The demon that appeared right after Paige orbed out with Nicki flames into a Demonic Lair. He is a tall man with short brown hair and brown eyes. His smile is as cold as ice and his hands have a lot of scars which indicates he has fought with them many times. He looks very sinister and seems like he is searching for something or someone, but it will take him a while to find them as his lair is filled with demons. Some look like normal humans while other look like typical creatures of the night. One of the demons walks over to the demon who has just flamed in.
Demon: Thosar, is it really you?
Thosar grabs the demon and put his hands around his neck. His smile appears and his eyes start to glow a bit. And in that second the demon explodes into flames. Other demons start to whisper to each other: "Look, this is really Thosar" or "Have you ever seen Thosar, the legendary upper level demon"? But Thosar remains uninterested in the hype. He looks around and then goes ahead. But as he goes, an old demon with white hair and bright eyes walks up to him.
Old demon: So, you must be Thosar the legendary upper level demon.
Thosar: That’s me, and you’re dead if you don’t step aside. I'm looking for one of the losers who live down here.
Old demon: I don’t want to make you angry, but there is something important I have to warn you about.
Thosar: What is it?
Old demon: I can smell something on the horizon. Something is coming. Something deeper. I see an Abyss!
Thosar (laughs): What are you? A seer? Maybe an oracle? Or are you just crazy? There is nothing deeper than the underworld.
Old demon: I’m nothing like that, but I can smell things sometimes. You are one of the legendary demons. Maybe you can eliminate this threat.
Thosar chokes him now too and the old demon explodes as well as the demon right behind him.
Int. Another Demon's Lair – Eternal Night
Thosar arrives in another Lair which is actually empty. He starts to smile as he sees a dainty demon.
Thosar: So you must be Ed.
Ed turns his head to the source of the voice.
Ed: And you? Who are you?
Thosar: I’m someone who can make you as legendary as I am. Someone with your special ability can finally help me kill the Charmed Ones.
Ed: You’re after the Charmed Ones? That’s suicide!
Thosar: Not if we use your ability.
Thosar forms a fireball in its hand.
Thosar: So it’s your choice. Do you want to be legendary or do you want to die?
Int. Manor
Int. Hall – Day
Darryl has just left as Piper closes the door and leans on it.
Piper: It’s real sad that Darryl and Sheila have a divorce going on.
Nicki appears in front of the Charmed Ones.
Nicki: I finished my drawing. What happens next?
Piper takes it.
Piper (to Nicki): Okay, you wait here while we try and find out something about your demon. (To Leo): Leo, can you stay with Nicki?
Leo: I don’t think so. The boys are at Victor's and I have the day off so to speak, so I'm looking for a job. I need a change.
Int. Attic – Day
Paige enters the attic at first and starts to flip through the Book of Shadows. Piper and Phoebe follow. Suddenly Phoebe realizes something.
Phoebe (to Paige): Sometimes it's weird seeing you flick through the book.
Paige. Why?
Piper (to Paige): Because you look exactly like Prue did when she used to check the Book of Shadows.
Paige looks up.
Paige: Oh dear god. I forgot our special day. I’m really sorry.
Piper (to Phoebe): It’s hard to believe how time flies.
Phoebe (nods): Think about it, Piper. It’s been five years since then.
Paige: So the whole family will go to visit her this afternoon?
Phoebe nods as she realizes she hasn’t made a decision yet and time is running out.
Phoebe: Oh I gotta go guys. I have my date soon.
Phoebe exits the attic. Piper puts the drawing behind Paige.
Piper: As Leo's on his own mission now, I'll stay with Nicki. I don’t want her to be alone right now. Tell me if you find anything.
Paiges nods and her head sinks a bit. Piper leaves the attic.
Paige (to herself): Sometimes I just wish Prue and I shared one lousy experience.
Paige is still flipping though the book, looking for a demon that matches the drawing as Ed appears out of nowhere. He is very silent and shoots an energy ball at Paige which hits her immediately. She falls forward knocking the bookstand down with her. As Paige regains consciousness, she realizes she has a headache and stands up. She shakes her head a bit and then follows Piper into the living room. Suddenly another Paige stands up and orbs out straight away, followed by a third Paige who gets up looking confused.
Paige: What am I doing here? I have to go to Henry, now!
End Act One
Int. Manor
Int. Kitchen – Day
Paige enters the room and looks at Piper and their innocent Nicki.
Piper (to Paige): Did you find the demon?
Paige: Not now, but I thought you might need some help.
Piper (laughs): With what? I was just talking to Nicki and she was telling me how she feels being stuck in this situation. So, go back to the book and find out who we’re up against this time.
Paige (nods): Didn't you have a list of things to do?
Piper: You mean my never ending list of things to do? Somewhere, I don’t remember.
Paige (nods again): So, start doing the things on your list and I'll take care of Nicki while I identify who this demon is.
Piper looks at Paige strangely.
Piper: Something is wrong with you. Isn’t it a bit too much for you to do alone?
Paige (smiles): Of course not. Why else did I become a fulltime witch?
Nicki: I thought you were a Whitelighter?
Paige (to Nicki): Not anymore.
Piper shakes her head, but as she thinks of her list and how long she'd been putting it off for, she leaves the kitchen.
Ext. San Francisco
Ext. Café – Day
Phoebe seems to be in a hurry and nearly runs to Coop, who is already sitting on a chair.
Phoebe (to Coop): Sorry, I know I’m late.
As he sees Phoebe he stands up, like a gentleman always does. A short period of time passes and a waiter is standing before them wanting to know what kind of drink they want. Phoebe looks at Coop and smiles. Coop smiles back.
Coop: What was that for?
Phoebe: I’m just glad we finally made it to our first date. To be honest I thought we'd never get here.
Coop: Why wouldn’t we?
Phoebe looks around and rolls her eyes. She takes a glass the waiter has brought her and drinks some wine.
Phoebe: Because I’m a Halliwell in case you hadn't noticed. Which means: good in kicking demon ass, bad when it comes to love!
Coop: I guess you don’t have to worry about that anymore. I’m magical Phoebe. I’m one of the good guys and I know exactly what the responsibilities of a Charmed One are. There are no surprises in store for me.
Phoebe takes another sip.
Phoebe (sarcastically): Oh that sounds just great. (Takes her menu and looks at it) Have you decided what you want to eat yet?
Coop looks a bit confused as he takes his menu and starts looking.
Coop: No, not yet.
Ext. San Francisco
Int. Street
Two men are running through a street. Right behind them, a couple of furies are following. The cries of their former victims seem to be everywhere and they can’t stand it any longer. Blood comes out of their ears and both men drop to the ground. They try everything to stop listening to the cries as the furies appear right in front of them.
Man 1: Arrgghhh!
Man2: Please make them stop.
Fury1: Don’t fight it and it will stop soon.
Fury2: Can I kill them now?
Fury1: Wait and enjoy your first kill. It will be over so soon and you only ever get one first time.
In that second Paige orbs into the street.
Paige (to Fury1): I'm afraid to tell you that no one is gonna be killed, so I just hope you won’t be too disappointed.
Fury1 and Fury2 turn to Paige and are about to use their powers, but she quickly orbs out. She reappears behind both of the men and grabs them, orbing out again. She returns a few seconds later and takes Fury 2 with her.
Int. Temp Agency
Int. Someone’s Office – Day
Leo opens the glass door to the temp agency and sees a whole bunch of people as he enters. They all sit on some sort of chairs and they all seem to wait for something. Leo looks confused for a second then he just follows the signs and arrives at the reception.
Leo (to desk clerk): I’m sorry to bother you, but I had an appointment around twelve a clock.
Desk clerk (to Leo): You’re late.
Leo (to desk clerk): I‘m sorry.
The desk clerk rolls her eyes as if she is above it all. Her phone rings and she has to take the call. A second later, as she is still talking to another person, she hands Leo a bunch of papers. Leo's eyes widen.
Leo (to desk clerk): What do I have to do with all of these?
The desk clerk takes the phone off of her ear and looks annoyed at Leo.
Desk clerk (to Leo): Like all the rest, sit down and fill this out.
Leo nods and looks into the other room again. The clerk looks at Leo for a few seconds and then grabs her phone again and starts to talk. In the meantime, Leo finds a chair and sits down. He rolls his eyes as he finally realizes how many papers there are, only to realize one second later that he has forgotten a pencil and tries desperately to get one from one of the other hopeful applicants.
Int. San Francisco PD
Int. Office – Day
Henry leaves his office and enters the main room to see Paige already there, wearing a very revealing dress. Her lips are as red as fire and her hair is pinned-up. Paige really looks like a femme fatale. Daryl looks surprised as he noticed her and Henry widens his eyes.
Henry (to Paige): What the hell …
Paige instead says nothing and goes straight to Henry. She grabs his tie softly and pulls him into his office.
Int. Henry’s office – Day
Paige pushes Henry into one of his chairs.
Henry: Paige? What is going on with you?
Paige: I just wanna be a good housewife.
Henry: Housewife?
Paige (nods): Yes, of course. Now relax. You did your job and now it’s up to me to do my job.
Henry looks up.
Henry: What about the cameras?
Paige: Don’t be shy Henry. Just relax. I’m all yours.
Int. Office – Day
As the other officers make jokes about what Paige is going to do with Henry, Darryl can’t seem to be able to get a little smile off his lips. As he turns from his table and looks to the front door, he is shocked as he sees Paige entering the office again with two men and the Fury in training.
Darryl (shocked): Paige? What are you doing? Are you out of your mind?
Paige (confused): What’s that supposed to mean?
Darryl (angry): Don’t play games with me, Paige. I just saw you with your husband.
Paige (shakes her head): That’s not possible. I have no husband. I’m a Whitelighter. Remember?
Darryl puts his hands into his face and shakes his head too. He seems to be a little desperate and talks to himself.
Darryl: What was going through my mind when I decided to come back?
Ext. Underworld
Int. Demon's Lair – Eternal night
Thosar flames in.
Thosar: Ed? Where are you? Reveal yourself?
Right behind Thosar the wall blinks for a little moment then Ed appears out of nowhere.
Ed: What do you want?
Thosar: A report would be a great start. Did you do what I wanted?
Ed (nods): Yes, I did. Paige has split into three identities.
Thosar: And what kind of identities were they?
Ed: What do you mean ‘were’? Don’t you mean ‘are’?
Thosar: So, you knocked Paige out, but didn’t kill her?
Ed: You never told me to kill her as well.
Thosar (angry): Great job, Ed. Now we have five Charmed Ones to worry about.
Thosar grabs Ed and starts to choke him, as Ed gasps.
Ed: Maybe there is another way.
Thosar lets him fall onto the ground.
Thosar: What kind of way?
Ed: Paige is a witch and a whitelighter as well. Maybe two of her identities still have powers, but the third one is defenceless.
Thosar: And how am I gonna kill the other Paiges?
Ed: You don’t have to. All of their parts are just parts of one original Paige. Kill one of them and the other two parts die as well. Paige will die and the Charmed Ones are gone.
Thosar starts smiling. Then he creates a fireball and kills Ed.
Ext. San Francisco
Ext. Café – Day
The silence is getting stronger between Phoebe and Coop and it is obvious that Phoebe, who actually isn’t a silent character at all, tries everything to make a conversation out of their attempts of flirting.
Phoebe: Well, I met a Cupid before, but I never really had the chance to ask him very much.
Coop (looks at Phoebe): I don’t mind. Ask away.
Phoebe nods and looks desperately in any possible direction. Meanwhile her fingers are playing with her hair and they both know that this date is not going too well.
Phoebe: So, tell me: how did you become a cupid? I mean, it’s like becoming a whitelighter, isn’t it? Or are you born as a cupid? Do you age actually? Can you die?
At this moment Phoebe realizes that she pretty much knows nothing about Coop or a cupid either. Coop is about to answer Phoebe as her phone starts to ring.
Phoebe: Excuse me.
Phoebe grabs the phone. Darryl is calling her. She takes his call and her eyes widen.
Phoebe (to Darryl, loud): What just happened?
Phoebe ends the call and puts her cell phone back into her bag. She tries to smile.
Phoebe: I’m sorry Coop, but this is a family emergency.
Coop: You don’t have to be sorry. I understand. Should I teleport you?
Phoebe thinks about it for a second then she shakes her head to say no.
Phoebe: It’s unnecessary. I’ll go the old fashioned way. Bye.
Phoebe stands up and leaves the café without giving Coop a kiss or any other display of affection.
Int. San Francisco PD
Int. Office – Midday
Paige and Henry are leaving the room, as Darryl grabs her not too softly. Paige seems to be a little bit shocked.
Darryl (to Paige): What is wrong with you?
Paige mops her finger over her lips as Darryl stares wildly into her eyes.
Paige: What do you mean?
He turns Paige in another direction so that she can see Whitelighter Paige talking to the innocent she has saved. Paige opens her mouth again, this time in shock.
Paige: Oh my …
Int. Manor
Int. Hall – Midday
Phoebe enters the Manor. She seems to be in panic as Paige enters the hall too.
Phoebe (to Paige): Paige, why did I just get a call from Darryl telling me to go home right away?
In that moment a second Paige enters the room and a third one comes out of the kitchen.
Paige 3: What is the matter with you, Phoebe? I’m still trying to calm Nicki down.
Paige 3 sees the other ones.
Paige 3 (to herself): Oh my God.
Paige 2: That was pretty much my reaction too.
The door opens again and Piper enters the hall too. She seems to be happy.
Piper (to all Paiges): Thanks for taking care of Nicki. I needed the time to do all that stuff…
Piper notices the other Paiges.
Piper: You know what, I don’t wanna have anything to do with this. I will leave the room, come back again, and the three Paiges in front of me will become one, okay?
End Act Two
Int. Temp Agency
Int. Waiting Room – Midday
Leo is still at the temp agency and trying to fill out the papers before him. The pencil he borrowed works fine, but now he realizes that he doesn’t want to lie to them, but he can’t write the truth either. Should he tell them that he was dead for over sixty years? He gives the pencil back and stands up.
Int. Reception – Midday
He gets to the Reception and puts the papers down on the desk. The desk clerk looks confused.
Desk clerk: You finished so soon?
Leo (nods): Yes. I guess I’m finished.
As he finally leaves the Temp Agency he looks disappointed.
Int. Manor
Int. Attic – Midday
Piper stands in front on the book and flips through the pages. From time to time she looks up at all the Paiges and starts mumbling for a few seconds, then goes back to consulting the book. In the meantime Phoebe sits on the little sofa to their right.
Piper (to all Paiges): Right, just out of curiosity: What happened?
The Paiges shrug their shoulders.
Paige 2: I don’t know. I lost my consciousness for a while, and when I woke up again, I did what I thought I had to do. By the way, where’s the problem?
Paige 3 (smiles): Well, that’s a good question. Let’s start with the fact that we’re the power of three and not the power of five.
Paige 1 lifts her hand. Piper gives her a look.
Paige 1: That shouldn’t be the problem. I’m not interested in fighting.
Paige 2: Me neither.
Paige 3: But I am. I’m a fulltime witch, you know?
Paige 2: I see myself more like a pacifist.
A little pause comes up. So Phoebe looks at Paige 1.
Phoebe (to Paige 1): And you?
Paige 1: I’m nothing like that. The only thing I am is Mrs. Henry Mitchell.
Piper (smiles): However. One way or another we have to reverse it somehow.
All Paiges shake their heads.
Paiges: Oh no. We like it that way.
Phoebe: Why?
Paiges: Because we can do all the things all people we know and love want us to do.
Paige 3: I can be Ms. Superwitch.
Paige 2: I can take care of my charges.
Paige 1: And I can please my husband.
Phoebe (rolls her eyes): I know. Darryl told me.
Paiges: So what do you want? All our problems seem to be solved.
Piper (smiles again): Maybe you see it that way. But they’re not. You just can’t take a person’s best parts and then divide them. The real Paige is a witch, a whitlelighter, and a wife, all at the same time. Split her into three and you’re only a third of the real you.
Phoebe (to Piper): Right, especially if you are a witch and you have lots of experience of how to deal with spells.
Piper (to Phoebe): So you think this might not be an accident?
Phoebe nods and stands up from the sofa. She goes over to one Paige and takes her hand. As she touches it, she gets sucked into a premonition.
Premonition: Phoebe sees how Paige is flipping through the Book of Shadows, as Ed appears and hits Paige with an energy ball, which leads to the splitting of Paige into three parts.
As Phoebe comes out of it she looks at Piper.
Phoebe (to Piper): It was a demonic attack. Look for a small guy with no hair and it has to be someone who looks like a loser.
Piper (to Phoebe): A loser?
Phoebe (to Piper): You heard me.
Int. San Francisco PD
Int. Office – Midday
Coop enters the room and looks for Henry, who comes out of another room in that second. In one hand he still holds one of his cases as Coop starts to talk to him.
Coop: Henry?
Henry: Oh Coop, nice that you could stop by… but why are you stopping by exactly?
Coop: I’m looking for some advice and the last time we saw each other it looked like you knew a lot about women, especially Halliwell women.
Henry turns to his desk and sits on top of it.
Henry: So, what do you want to know?
Coop: What women really want!
Henry starts to laugh.
Int. Manor
Int. Attic – Afternoon
Piper is still flipping through the book, as she stops.
Piper (to Phoebe): How about this guy?
Phoebe comes to her sister and looks at the page.
Phoebe (to Piper): Guess we have a winner.
Piper puts her finger on the entry and starts to read aloud.
Piper: Ed (Piper lifts her head while looking at the Paiges). Wow, a demon called Ed. That’s a first. (Piper looks at the page again). Where was I? Ed is a lower level demon with a barely empathic touch, who can unleash repressed feelings and possesses the ability to split someone into different identities.
Phoebe: Although the person seems to have doubled or tripled, her body remains as one.
Paige 1: What’s that supposed to mean?
Piper (looks up): What it means is if anything happens to one of you the others will die too.
Phoebe (smiles): This whole situation reminds me a little of Prue. Remember?
Piper (nods): Of course I do. But it was a different reason, different circumstances, and a way different situation.
Phoebe (looks at the page): But there is nothing in here about how to reverse it.
Piper: Because it is magic. We or Paige have to learn something before it reverses itself. So, what do you think it might be?
Paige 3: Could I add something?
Piper (to Paige 3): Of course.
Paige 3: I don’t think Ed worked on his own. Usually a demon like Ed only works for Upper Level Demons and we already know that an Upper Level Demon is trying to kill future Whitelighters. So, while I was saving Nicki he might’ve got the idea of sending Ed after us… or me… whatever!
Paige 3 goes to the Book of Shadows and flips a few pages ahead as she reveals a page about the demon Thosar.
Phoebe nods.
Phoebe: The book says that Thosar is a legendary Upper Level Demon. He is known for his impatience, hard strikes, and the belief that all Whitelighters have to be killed. It could be our man. But nothing is for sure.
Paige 3 (nods): Yes maybe. But if I’ve learned one thing from you guys is that I have to trust my instincts.
Phoebe looks at Piper who lifts her hands.
Piper (to Phoebe): Don’t look at me. She’s the superwitch now. So I guess we have to … (Piper stops).
Phoebe (to Piper): What?
Piper: Has anyone noticed that we left Nicki alone?
Phoebe: So?
Paige 2: She is a future whitelighter!
Int. Hall – Afternoon
As Piper, Phoebe, and all the Paiges run down the stairs to the kitchen. Leo enters the hall and shouts.
Piper (passing by): Hi honey.
Leo (louder): I didn’t get a job!
Piper (disappearing into the kitchen): I’m sorry.
Int. Kitchen – Afternoon
Piper, Phoebe, Paige, Paige, and Paige appear in the kitchen as they see Thosar sitting on the table. In his left hand he is holding Nicki’s back and in the other a knife on her neck.
Thosar: I was wondering when you’d come after me.
Paige 1 looks scared and runs away. Paige 3 shouts to Paige 2 that she has to call for the knife. Piper tries to freeze the demon, but like many Upper Level Demons he doesn’t freeze or blow up. Paige 3 tries to use her telekinesis, but as she uses it she only moves the cups from behind him. Phoebe wants to fight with the demon, as Paige 1 comes from the dining room with a chair in her hands. She screams and runs to the demon, but he takes Paige 1 into his arms and flames out. Piper and Phoebe share a look.
Piper (to Phoebe): Brilliant.
End Act Three
Ext. San Francisco
Ext. Golden Gate Bridge – Afternoon
A pink coloured and fluffy like heart appears right out of nowhere. One second later Coop materializes and his ring stops to glow. He is looking up.
Coop: Can I please talk to somebody? I need to talk to an Elder!
As Coop asks an Elder orbs in.
Elder: Coop? We expected it would be something about one of the Halliwells. What’s your concern?
Coop: Today Phoebe and I had our first date.
Elder: And that’s a problem?
Coop: No, it’s not actually. But to be honest, it was horrible and I can’t think that Phoebe thought it was good either.
Elder: So you think you should stop dating her? If that’s your point of view you don’t have to ask us.
Coop: I still want to date Phoebe. But I don’t know what to do or what to say. I’ve been a Cupid for so long now that I may know everything about love in theory, but I never experienced love before. All I ever did was create that special spark between two people.
Elder: What’s your concern right now?
Coop: I called you to ask for a favour. I want my own experience when it comes to love. I want to know how it feels to love as a human does.
Elder: So, do you …
Coop: Exactly. I want to become a mortal for a couple of weeks or months even, so I can have my own experience.
Elder: And what happens with your job? You are not new to this, Coop. You know exactly how these things work. To turn you into a mortal, a mortal has to be turned into a Cupid. Everything has to be in balance.
Coop (nods): Yes, I know. This is the way we become Cupids in the first place. And to be honest, I already thought about someone who can take my place.
Elder: Who is it?
Int. Manor
Int. Living room – Afternoon
Hysterically, Paige 3 walks around over and over again, as Paige 2 enters with some cups of tea.
Paige 3: I’m full of it. I feel so guilty. What if we die now because of me?
Paige 2: Piper and Phoebe are in the attic and still trying to locate the demon who took the other me. And you decided to sit this one out, so the only choice you have right now is be patient.
Piper and Phoebe run down the stairs.
Piper: We’ve found him.
Phoebe: But we have to be careful.
Piper (to Phoebe): If he’s really after Paige I don’t understand why he hasn’t killed her yet.
Phoebe (to Paige 3): What about your powers? Because you’re only a witch now, which means you must be able to use telekinesis.
Paige 3: I know but I can’t use them the way I want. It is more difficult then I thought.
Paige 2: Maybe because you are the strong and brave superwitch now and what you miss is the part of you that thinks about these things and is patient and can be cool in a tough situation.
Paige 3 looks at Paige 2.
Paige 3 (to Paige 2): You and I complete each other.
Paige 2 nods.
Paige 3: Maybe we can take advantage of this situation.
Phoebe and Piper look at each other, puzzled.
Ext. Underworld
Int. Demon liar – Eternal night
Paige 1 sits on the ground. Her hands are tied together with some sort of chains. Thosar walks right in front Paige and then behind her back. He smiles.
Thosar: Have you any idea why I haven’t killed you yet?
Paige 1: Because you’re an idiot?
Thosar (looks angry): No. It’s because I changed my mind and my plan too.
Paige 1 nods.
Paige 1: So, what are your plans now? I thought you wanted to kill me and of course, the Charmed Ones?
Thosar: Don’t worry about that I can still do that. But there is one short opportunity. You, Paige, know yourself better than anyone else. You will tell me what will happen next and I can defend myself from the attack of your sisters. This way, I can take the Power of Three.
Paige looks up.
Paige 1: I don’t get it.
Thosar: On this day, five years ago, your sister Prue died and then you came along a while later reconstituting the Charmed Ones. But to really make yourselves powerful your bond had to grow. But you are a half witch, half whitelighter. Whitelighters are pacifists, and they always will be. This is what weakens your power. And now… now we have all three powers that the Charmed Prophecy warned us about: Freezing, premonitions, and telekinesis. So if you help me I can tap into all of their powers and take the Power of Three into myself. That would make me unstoppable and I can finally kill all the whitelighters and future whitelighters in this world.
Thosar hears a noise.
Thosar: Be quiet.
He flames out and Piper, Phoebe, and the other two Paiges orb in. Paige 2 runs over to Paige 1 and tries to free her of her chains as Paige three realizes that this is far too easy. In that moment Thosar reappears with a bunch of demons. Piper lifts up her hands and starts to blow them up. Phoebe grabs her arm and together they run to a rock to get some protection from the attacks. The Paiges had run behind another rock and look at each other. Where Paige 1 tells the other ones what Thosar’s plan is.
Paige 1: Don’t worry, I’m not a demon and he didn’t kill me because of a Napoleon complex he has.
Paige 3: Ah, he is that kind of a demon who tries to get all of our powers to reach a higher goal.
Paige 1: Exactly.
Paige 2: So, this is actually his Achilles' heel.
Paige 3: It’s about time we use it against him.
Paige 1: We’ll need a Power of Three spell to vanquish him, but I’m not a witch and the other Paige is just a whitelighter…
Paige 2: So, to get out of it alive we have to…
Paige 3: Become one again.
Paige 2: Looks like we really complete each other.
Paige 1 (nods): I didn’t see that until now.
Paige 3: This split-into-three-thing is kinda helpful to get to know me a little better.
Paige 1: So, how do we get this done?
Paige 2: I don’t know, but what I do know now is that I finally have one thing in common with Prue.
Paige 1 (smiles): We may have one experience and one feeling in common.
Paige 3: You may be right, but when this is over its time to find out who we really are.
Paige 1 and 2 nod as all three start to lighten from the inside, after which only one Paige is left standing, who immediately orbs out and appears beside her sisters. Paige smiles and looks to Piper and Phoebe.
Paige: Looks like I’m back to my old self. Anyone thought of a Power of Three spell?
Piper and Phoebe look up for a minute as the rock starts to crack under the attack of the demons. Phoebe reaches into her pocket and pulls a piece of paper out of it.
Phoebe (to Paige): While you were busy talking to yourself Piper and I made one.
The three witches look to each other as they stand up. Piper start to blow up every fireball and Paige starts to call for them, as Phoebe, in the middle, unpacks the paper and shows it to her sisters, and they start to read aloud.
Piper, Phoebe, and Paige (aloud):
Demon Thosar, hear us sisters three,
In fire and rain you shall vanquished be.
Thosar looks to his hands and they ignite. The rest of his body soon follows and then he wails as he explodes. Now Piper looks very sternly to the other demons.
Piper (to the demons): Boo!
They all shimmer out.
Phoebe (smiles): Ah, I like it when they die.
Ext. San Francisco
Ext. Cemetery
Int. Mausoleum – Afternoon
Piper, Phoebe, Paige, Leo, Wyatt, Chris, Henry, Coop, and Darryl are standing in front of Prue’s plaque. The all look sad in this moment and it is very silent. Piper puts a rose on the floor and smiles. Phoebe kisses Piper’s fingers and then runs her hand over Prue’s name. Finally, Paige puts an image of the triquetra right on the rose.
Paige (whispers): It’s taken a while, but finally we have something in common.
Ext. Cemetery – Afternoon
Phoebe and Coop are walking together through the cemetery. They hold each others hand and Phoebe seems to be vulnerable right now.
Coop: Well, our first date didn’t exactly go well.
Phoebe (smiles): No, it didn’t.
Coop: Do you want to risk it again?
Phoebe: Maybe. But things have to change.
Coop: I think so too.
Phoebe: What’s that supposed to mean?
Coop lifts his hand, so Phoebe can see his ring, as the ring starts to glow and vanishes.
Phoebe: What happened?
Coop: I will be human for a while so I can learn to understand what love really is.
Phoebe: And who will take your place?
Coop: You’re about to find out.
Only a few steps behind them there are Piper and Leo and the boys.
Piper: I’m sorry that you didn’t get a job. It seemed to be very important to you, Leo.
Leo shrugs its shoulders.
Leo: Maybe next time.
Piper (nods): Yeah, maybe next time.
Suddenly Leos hands glows. He lifts it and sees how Coop’s ring appear on it.
Piper and Leo widen their eyes.
Leo: Looks like I have a job now.
Piper looks shocked initially, but then she starts to smile and kisses Leo.
Piper: Congratulations.
Behind them all the others are walking.
Henry: What about us?
Paige: I guess all is going to be alright with us. Now that I’ve realized what my real problem is. I still have to find myself and I would be glad if you could help me with that, Henry.
Henry (takes Paige’s hand): Of course I will.
Int. Manor
Int. Attic – Evening
Paige sits on the ground. She is alone and it is very clear that she is about to summon a ghost. Suddenly she closes her eyes:
Paige:
Hear these words,
Hear my cry,
Spirit from the other side,
Come to me I summon thee
Cross now the great divide
As Paige says this, wind starts to blow around her and something glowing appears in the room. It starts to take form and the shape becomes more and more clear. Paige starts to smile.
Paige: I will finally get to know my family, my past, and which can only mean myself.
The shape becomes clear and someone hovers in front of Paige. We can only see her from behind, but could it be… Prue?
